Moscow Technological University (MIREA) Fryazino branch celebrates its 55th anniversary!

On behalf of United 3D Labs, we extend our heartiest congratulations to MIREA University for completing 55 glorious years of success.

Multimedia technologies have welcomed the guests of the anniversary event from the very first step: fascinating VR and AR installations were placed in the hall of the building. You could take a picture with a funny mask of a famous scientist on your face in AR, experience flying with our gesture control solution or try flight simulator based on HTC Vive virtual reality headset.

Taking advantage of features that Microsoft HoloLens has to offer, we have developed a special presentation for the event. How does the magic work? Putting the headset on, the speaker can see both the hologram and the audience at the same time: this way the contact with the crowd is not lost. Video cameras installed in the headset and combined with a special software transmit the image that the presenter sees is transmitted on a big screen. Thus, all present are United by one common magic-augmented reality.

The whole speech of the presenter was accompanied by bright animated illustrations with elements of infographics.

With Microsoft HoloLens even dull figures, boring facts or statistics can be presented in the form of fantastic images that dynamically replace each other. The speaker can change animated blocks of content with a simple hand gesture, so there is no need to stick to tight timing.

Presentations with Microsoft HoloLens are not very common yet, but they are gaining ground. As MIREA is considered to be a high-tech university that keeps up with changing technology trends.
