United 3D Labs took part in INNOPROM-2018
Our Laboratory was happy to be a part of INNOPROM-2018, one of the largest exhibitions in Russia.
Our booth was devoted to the use of augmented and virtual reality in education.
This time we demonstrated a training simulator of a boiler facility for virtual reality headsets.
The simulator is designed for training operating personnel. The workshop of the enterprise with all the equipment and controls is reproduced in virtual reality with absolute accuracy to every small detail. A trainee puts on a wireless VR helmet and in a flash he or she is transferred into the workshop.
As there is no wire that ties the user to the computer, a trainee can move through the virtual workshop not only with the help of controller, but also walk around with his or her own feet.
The simulator is aimed at developing necessary skills and reactions for regular and critical situations.
With the help of a controller, a trainee can interact with virtual reality objects the same way he or she would do in real life.
We warmly commend LANIT Group and representatives of Quorus AKS company in Sverdlovsk region for the opportunity to be a part of this outstanding event!
We also extend our thanks to Andrey Kurov, Director General, and his wonderful team for the excellent booth operation and the opportunity to get acquainted with Yekaterinburg.
