Leonid Pechatnikov (Deputy Moscow Mayor for Social Development), Alexander Kibovsky (Head of the Department of Culture of the city of Moscow) and Irina Apeksimova (Managing director of the Taganka Theater) were the first ones to check the installation dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Yuri Lyubimov.

Vladimir Putin, Fidel Castro, Andrei Tarkovsky, Yuri Gagarin, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Alfred Schnittke, Ernst Neizvestny, Bella Akhmadulina, Arthur Miller, Tonino Guerra, Anna Magnani, Laurence Olivier... The list is literally endless. So, what do they have in common? Obviously they all were prominent personalities of their time. Moreover, they all left their autographs and wishes on the walls of Yury Lyubimov's office at the Taganka Theater.

Andrey Voznesensky, Russian poet and writer, started the tradition. His autograph was the first one; the message he left over the desk says: "All goddesses are toadstools compared to the women of Taganka". This is how it all started.

We have turned the foyer of the theater into a huge screen with the help of 360° projection. This way, the messages from the walls of Lyubimov’s office come to life around the viewer to tell their stories.

The beam of the famous flashlight of Yuri Lyubimov slides over the walls highlighting milestones in the history of the theatre. It feels like Mr. Lyubimov engages in a dialogue with every visitor, sharing his ideas about life and his theater.

The installation will be opened at the end of September.
